Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! We offer free local pickup from our studio in Bondi Junction, Sydney — just a 5-minute walk from Westfield Bondi Junction.
Sydney locals can now skip the shipping queue entirely. Here's how local pick-up works:
- Browse and shop at redecostudio.com.au
- Select Local Pick-up at checkout — it's completely free! Your exact pickup address will be provided at checkout when you select Local Pickup (just a 5-minute walk from Westfield Bondi Junction).
- Most orders are ready within 24 hours. Please read the product description before ordering — our hand knitted scrunchies are currently made to order and take approximately 7 days to handcraft. These will not be available for pickup within 24 hours.
- Please reply directly to your order confirmation email to let us know what day and time you'd like to swing by.
Pick-Up Times Available: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Please note: RedEco Studio is an online-only store. Our studio is a private residence and not a retail storefront — there is no walk-in shopping available.
Local pickup is available by arrangement only, and we ask that you wait for your ready notification before visiting.
Made-to-Order Items: Our hand knitted scrunchies are currently the only made-to-order items in our collection. These require approximately 7 days to handcraft before they are ready for pickup or dispatch. Please read the product description carefully before placing your order so you know what to expect.
What are your shipping options?
We offer standard and express shipping across Australia, and also ship to the US, Canada, and New Zealand. Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days except our made to order hand-knitted scrunchies which ships within 7 days. What is your refund and return policy?
Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Refund and Return Policy. If you have any questions, please send an email to ramona.rede@redecostudio.com.au
- We do not offer 'Change of Mind' returns or exchanges for our fashion accessories due to hygiene reasons.
We take utmost care when hand making and fulfilling your order, however, if we have sent you a wrong product or a damaged product, we will replace the product free of charge, or in the event that the product is no longer available, we will refund both the cost of the product and original delivery fee, provided:
- That you notify us by email message to ramona.rede@redecostudio.com.au as soon as possible but no later than 7 days of receiving the products;
- That you provide proof of purchase such as order confirmation.
- That you supply full details and photo proof of the damaged or wrong product.

What types of silk do you use?
We craft our scrunchies from premium designer surplus silks, primarily using five luxurious varieties—each chosen for its unique properties and suitability:
Silk Satin features a lustrous, glossy surface with a beautiful drape and smooth hand feel. Its tightly woven structure creates that signature sheen and makes it particularly gentle on hair, reducing friction and preventing breakage. Silk satin scrunchies are ideal for sleek styles and adding an elegant, polished touch to any look.
Silk Twill features a tightly woven diagonal weave that gives it a beautiful weight, structured drape, and subtle texture. More resilient than satin, it holds its shape beautifully throughout the day — making it ideal for oversized scrunchies that need to maintain their volume and form. Its smooth surface glides over hair strands without snagging, reducing breakage and leaving no crease or dent. Silk Georgette is the lightest and most sheer of the five, with a crinkled texture and airy, flowing quality. How do I care for my silk scrunchie?
In order to keep your silk scrunchies and hand-knitted scrunchies looking their best, please read and follow the care instructions:
Please take care when handling your scrunchie(s) to avoid snagging the delicate silk fabric.
1. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent formulated for delicates.
2. Dry flat in shade away from direct sunlight. Avoid machine washing or tumble drying.
3. Iron on low heat with a damp pressing cloth (cotton muslin) to keep your scrunchies looking their best.
